Burkle, Gertrude N. Castleton-Gertrude N. Burkle, 97, passed away in her sleep on December 9, 2020 at St. Peter’s Nursing & Rehab Center. Born in Stuyvesant Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Anthony and Frances Novak. She was the wife of the late John E. Burkle and had been a 70 year resident of Castleton. She was predeceased by sisters Charlotte Wolfe, Pauline Yerrick and a brother Donald “Duck” Novak. She is survived by her son William J. Burkle, grandchildren Abigail Burkle, Ian Burkle, two nieces and a nephew. Calling hours 2-4 pm Sunday December 13, 2020 at Ray Funeral Home, Castleton, NY. Her funeral service will be private for the family only on Monday. Pandemic restrictions will be practiced for all services with masks worn and social distancing enforced.
