Mary Lou Hulek, 97, of East Schodack, passed away peacefully at Evergreen Commons Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on September 29, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael S. Hulek, and is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Aiello, Fay Lee (Ronn), and Michele Hulek-Doyle. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Kristin Nellenback (Scott), Michele Aiello, Michael Aiello (Amy), and Jared Doyle, as well as 6 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A lifelong resident of Castleton, Mary Lou graduated from Castleton Union High School and served her community as a librarian at Castleton Public Library for 46 years, retiring twice. In addition to the library, Mary Lou served a brief stint as a Girl Scout leader and even taught ballet. Mary Lou was a beloved member of her Brook Pointe community. She also served in the Women’s Group for Christian Service at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, was a member of Castleton Senior Citizens, and the Home Bureau. Friends and family are invited to call at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, 1150 Maple Hill Rd, Castleton-On-Hudson NY 12033 on Sunday October 10, from 1:00-2:00 PM with a funeral service to follow. Interment will be at Horizonview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Emmanuel Reformed Church, or the Castleton Public Library. 85 S.
